Museums in Guangzhou will continue to offer free admission for a day every month this year, which means that the public can visit the museums for free for 12 days a year, announced Guangzhou cultural authorities on January 20. At present, 16 museums and memorial halls in the city offer free admission throughout the year.
The museums will be free on the third Wednesday of every month, including January 19, February 16, March 16, April 13, May 18 (International Museum Day), June 11(China Heritage Day), July 13, August 17, September 14, October 12, November 16, and December 14. And they will also be free on May 12 (International Nurses Day), September 10 (Teacher's Day), and October 26 (Sanitation Workers Day) for their respective designated groups of people.
