Traffic restrictions in place on several roads, including Xihu, Jiaoyu and Liwan Roads

To ensure the smooth proceeding of the Spring Flower Fair, traffic restrictions are in place on certain roads in accordance with the Road Safety Law.

Specifically, the restrictions will be applicable to the following roads from 0 AM on January 24 to 6 AM on February 3:

Jiaoyu Road (Zhongshan Road V insection to East Huifu Road intersection), Xihu Road (Beijing Road intersection to Guangzhou Qiyi Road intersection), Dashatousan Road (Dashatou Road to West Donghu Road intersection), Liwan Road (Zhongshan Road VIII to Xihua Road intersection), West Binjiang Road (East of People's Bridge to West of Liberation Bridge), Baogang Avenue (West Binjiang Road intersection to South Huaxi Road intersection), and Yuanjing Road (Airport Road to Sanyuanli Avenue).

During the period of traffic restrictions, small-sized vehicles can travel in either direction on Guangzhou Qiyi Road (Zhongshan Road intersection to Huifu Road intersection), and other vehicles, as usual, can only travel from south to north. The restrictions are not applicable to vehicles bearing a pass, military vehicles, police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and emergency engineering vehicles.

Police appeal to the public to abide by traffic rules and to use public transport to the largest extent practical during the flower fair.
