Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua, on behalf of the provincial Government, extended the New Year greetings to overseas Chinese from Guangdong and Compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao on February 3.
Huang reviewed 2010, saying Guangdong has made achievements in accelerating economic transformation and maintaining a sustainable economic growth. The successful holding of the Asian Games and the Asian Para Games has demonstrated the outstanding achievements of the reform and opening-up of Guangdong as well as the modernization of China. Huang said he appreciated the help and the support of the Overseas Chinese and fridends during the past year.
