Sources form the Guangzhou Municipal Price Administration said on Feb 23rd Guangzhou would continue in developing farming supermarkets and fair-price supermarkets and currently it is investigating the methods of levying price adjustment fund.
As the cost of living is increasingly going up, people are calling for curbing price rise in the phases of production and circulation and developing farming supermarkets and fair-price supermarkets. News from the Guangzhou Municipal Price Administration said Guangzhou would begin to operate fair-price supermarket and push forward the construction of cold storage and vegetable base.
But now Guangzhou has not begun levying price adjustment fund, with the funds for law, system and mechanism construction, safeguarding abilities construction and supervision team construction allocated from the provincial price adjustment fund.
Taking the levying method of the provincial price adjustment funds as reference, Guangzhou is studying to lay down the levying method within the year. The levying methods vary in other cities of Guangdong Province. Some cities levy in due proportion based on business turnover, some based on tax amount, and Guangzhou's levying standard is not decided yet. But the monopolistic industries may probably be the objectives of levying city price adjustment funds.
