To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, "Nanjing and Guangzhou Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition", jointly sponsored by Nanjing Literary Federation, Guangzhou Literary Federation, Nanjing Calligrapher Association and Guangzhou Calligrapher Association, was inaugurated in Guangzhou Museum of Art on March 8. And it is learned that the exhibition will last until March 20.

"Each one has its strong point!" During the exhibition, you can frequently hear such words. The exhibition is held simultaneously in Guangzhou and Nanjing, displaying 200 representative works, among which "twelve hairpins of Jin Lin", the work of Sun Shaobin, a first class painter in China, is the most eye-catching painting.

It won gold medal in the first Arts Festival organized by the Department of Culture of Jiangsu Province in 1998. Standing in front of different portraits like Daiyu, Baochai, Miaoyu, and so on, the audience carefully savor the unique charms of the figures in the paintings.

It was rare that foreigners were present in this exhibition. Three girls, coming from Germany, Italy and Poland respectively, came to Guangzhou as exchange students. They became volunteers in Guangzhou Museum of Art and would participate in the promotion work of the art exhibition which would last for a month.
