Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City which is under the spot light, is taking new action. Government of Guangzhou Development District (Luogang District) held the Hundred-Day Mobilization Meeting for key projects in the Knowledge City. During the first half of this year, constructions of 18 key projects will be accelerated, including city planning roads constructions, regeneration of old villages, constructions of artificial lake, initial stage construction of south and north resettlements area, main body constructions of central resettlement area and constructions preparation for some companies.
By the end of May, roads construction in the southern Initial Area will be finished.
Up to now, 45 MOUs of high-end industries have been signed, involving 19 Sino-Singapore cooperation projects, 20 domestic independent innovation projects and 6 international cooperation projects. 12 key projects involving investment of 13 billion yuan have found their lands for construction. It is estimated that their commitment to the new city will create an annual output value of over 54 billion yuan.
Other specialized research and planning will also be promoted, including supporting facilities for the exhibition center, landmark squares, road improvement, road construction, drainage system and power system.
