The 7th Guangzhou Folk Cultural Festival and Buoluo Temple Fair will be held in Huangpu District from March 15 to 21. During this festival, visitors can witness the traditional Sea Goddess parade, a religious ceremony commemorating the "Five Sons worshipping the King," a flower festival with 9,999 roses and an exhibition of ancient Han Dynasty clothes. Some new events will be added this year including a large feast and the Nanwan travel festival.
Buoluo Temple Fair was listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010. The festival takes place at the South Sea Goddess Temple in Huangpu District, a national 4A tourism site.
Buoluo Temple Fair dates back to the Sui Dynasty (AD 541 to 604) and it is the oldest traditional celebration in Guangzhou.
