The city of Qingyuan, north of Guangzhou, recently celebrated the 23rd anniversary of its city-level status. During the ceremony, the Qingyuan municipal government award 75 million RMB to firms having invested in the city in 2010.
On the same day, 582 new construction projects were launched with an investment totaling 328.6 billion RMB. These projects include buildings home to social services, bridges and highways, infrastructure, industry and agriculture, and logistics.
The largest projects to start in 2011 include Jingu Bridge, Guangdong (Qingyuan) Jingu Science City, Qingyuan Tourists Service Centre, and the Tang Dynasty Chinese street.
