On March 23th, RAND Corporation, the world known think-tank of joined the innovation system research on the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City and signed the cooperation deal with the Guangzhou Development Zone Administrative Committee. According to the deal, RAND will, in the next 16 months, tail innovative strategies, which will serve as the "footstone" and "foundation" for the future development of the Knowledge City.
On March 23th, on behalf of the Guangzhou Development Zone Administrative Committee, Mr.Ling Weixian, Member of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal Committee Party, CMC Director of the Development Zone and the Knowledge City and Secretary of the Luogang District, signed the agreement with James Thomson, CEO of the RAND Corporation.
It was learned that the top think-tank team of RAND will jointly issue a practical research report with the Luogang District Government in the next 16 months, serving as the innovative strategy for the development of the Knowledge City. "With the help of the top think-tank, we will attract the world-class talents in the fields of science, engineering and the entrepreneur talents and cultivate high-tech companies, enabling the Knowledge City to be a leading Innovation Center worldwide."
