Withthe Shenzhen Universiade opening in less than five months, Shenzhen Daily today launches a biweekly supplement to cover Games news and stories to promote the Games among international readers.
The 16-page Shenzhen Universiade Express is sponsored by the Executive Office of the Organizing Committee for the 26th Summer Universiade, Shenzhen.
It provides the latest news concerning the Universiade and preparation details for the Games, including information about stadiums, public transport such as the Metro, and services to be provided. It also covers Games knowledge and history with in-depth coverage of popular topics, including the opening and closing ceremonies.
A highlight of the supplement will be stories of ordinary people involved in the Games. In the second issue, the Express will begin a special column to introduce Universiade people from all walks of life involved in supporting the Games.
After today s issue, the Shenzhen Universiade Express will be published every second Friday until the end of July. From Aug. 1 to the end of the Games, it will be published every day as a Universiade special covering the Games and city news.
The Shenzhen Universiade Express will be delivered with Shenzhen Daily and will be sent to the Universiade stadiums, Universiade Village, high-profile hotels and airports both in Shenzhen and neighboring Hong Kong, and other public areas for free during the Games.
