In March 24, the Regulations for the Standard Innovation Awards in Guangzhou -exposure draft - were formally open to suggestions on the website of the Guangzhou Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision (GBQTS).
This comes as the first standard innovation award in Guangzhou. It was reported that all the standard projects launched in Guangzhou would have the chance to win a maximum award of RMB 400,000, once they meet the corresponding requirements. In principle, the awards are reviewed biennially.
According to the public exposure draft, all the standard projects within the scope of the awards, be they launched by the enterprises, institutions, Party and government departments or social organizations, get the chance to declare their related standard awards as long as the organizations have been registered in Guangzhou.
The scope of the awards covers research on dominant standards, participation in WTO/TBT, and the positive adoption of the advanced international standards. Thus, an enterprise without t a research standard is entitled to declare the awards if it achieves a great improvement through the adoption of the international standards.
To deal with the related affairs, the GBQTS will organize experts to establish a Review Committee, the members of which are by principle made up of experts from the Standard Expert Database of Guangzhou. The Bureau will be in charge of the final evaluation.
