The Korean Tourism Office in Guangzhou and the Consulate General of Korea in Guangzhou have announced that the number of people from across greater China (Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR,Taiwan) visiting South Korea reached 2.5 billion in 2010. What's more, the number of visa applications from south China has gone up 32% year-on-year in 2010.
Visa application procedures have recently been simplified. The number of documents to submit has been reduced to under half a dozen and in the low season applicants can expect to see their visa granted within only two working days.
After the success of last year's Korean Week in Guangzhou, a 2nd edition shall be held in 2011 and it shall include a film festival.
