'Diplomat Cup' Invitation Golf Tournament was held in Dongguan on March 26. More than 80 officials from Hong Kong and Macao offices of The PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Consulate Generals of Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia in Guangzhou, representatives of foreign-invested enterprises took part in the tournament.
According to Jiang Xiaoying, Director of Dongguan's Foreign Affairs Bureau, the number of Consulate Generals in Guangzhou has reached 39 and is still increasing year by year. To better cope with the financial crisis and accelerate economic and social restructuring, Dongguan will exert the unique advantage and expand exchange and cooperation with foreign countries' Consulate General in Guangzhou.
Taking golf course as a platform for exchange can help promote Dongguan's investment environment and further communication between Consulate General officials and enterprises representatives, said Jiang.
