Professor Diedier Sornette from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich paid a visit to the Institute of Machinery and Power Engineering and delivered an academic report entitled New Approach to the Characterization of Mmax and of the Tail of the Distribution of Earthquake Magnitudes .
