Japan s Senate President Satsuki Eda met Prof. Cai Jianguo, principal of the international school of Tongji University, and others who were on the visit to Japan recently.
Principal Cai Jianguo introduced the construction of Shanghai Expo, in which our university has taken active participation, and exchange project for Japan. Having learned that the number of Japanese students was the largest than the number of other foreign students, Senate President Satsuki Eda was very happy and recalled the scene that a delegation led by him visited to our university in 2003.
Satsuki Eda congratulated Tongji on its rapid development in recent years, and wished a successful and wonderful Expo in Shanghai. Cai Jianguo invited Satsuki Eda to visit Expo and our university again, and Satsuki Eda accepted the invitation happily.
It was reported that this time Cai Jianguo went to Japan for the research of the issues on State Department Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. During the period, near 10 forums had been held, in which Japanese of various circles and overseas Chinese had an extensive communication.
