Minister of Culture of Finland visits Tongji

On Nov. 25, Mr. Stefan Wallin, Minister of Culture of Finland, visited Tongji, with other delegation members in cultural fields and Matti Heimonen, Consul General of Finland in Shanghai. The delegation met Mr. He Shouchang, Inspector, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informationization, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, Assistant President, Tongji University and other Chinese participants.
During the meeting, several different topics were discussed, including the growth of Sino-Finnish Centre, 2012 WDC in Helsiki, UNESCO City of Design-Shanghai, etc. The new Sino-Finnish Centre will be a communication platform for information exchange and talent cultivation between Shanghai and Helsinki. "2011 Tongji in Helsinki" project will be developed in December, which is consisted of Tongji on Track, Sino-Finnish University-corporate alliance, Tongji Pavilion in Helsinki, etc.
