On Nov. 27, Dr. Bilal U. Haq, Director of Department of Marine Geography and Geophysics of American National Natural Science Foundation, Honorary Professor of Tongji University, invited by Tongji s Fund for Foreign Scholars in University Research and Teaching Programs, visited State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology at Tongji University. Dr. Haq introduced the latest research of global seafloor observation area in his lecture of Ocean Observing Initiative: An Update .
