Senior researcher Carleton R.Cramer and Terrence M. Slattery from U.S. Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies visited the School of Political Science & International Relations of Tongji University recently, and had a conversation with Dean Xia Liping and Professor Qiu Huafei of the school. The two sides had a deep discussion about Sino-US relation and cooperation projects between each other.
The Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies is subordinated to U.S. Department of Defense, and responsible directly to the U.S. Pacific Command. The center was founded to promote bilateral relations of the armed forces between U.S. Pacific Command and the Asia-Pacific countries, to expand multilateral contacts for regional security issues, to boost understanding and enhance cooperation, and provide a forum for exchanging views of non-war level issues like military, economy, government, diplomacy, regional security and others for different countries.
