Delegation of Lehigh University visited Tongji

On the morning of January 12, Vice-president Mohamed S. El-Aasser of Lehigh University with a group of delegation visited Tongji University. Executive Vice President Li Yongsheng met with the delegation at Run Run Shaw Building.
Li Yongsheng introduced Tongji s history, academics, international projects, and talked about the initial idea of promoting cooperation with Lehigh University, such as science cooperation between professors, student exchange and summer class.

Mohamed S. El-Aasser appreciated Tongji s warm reception. He said there were lots of commons between Lehigh University and Tongji University, both focusing on engineering education and international exchange between teachers and students. He hoped that the two universities could build more cooperation projects in varied fields including student and teacher exchange, science cooperation, besides the current cooperation with the College of Civil Engineering.

The two sides agreed to build long term cooperation relationship in the projects of student short term exchange, modular teaching, and dual master programme.
