Vice President Dong Qi visited France and Germany

On January 9-18, Vice President Dong Qi led a delegation to visit ESCP Europe, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Ecole Polytechnique, ENTPE and INSA de Lyon in France and TU Berlin, DAAD, Universitaet Konstanz, FH Esslingen in Germany. During his visit, Prof. Dong met with Mr. Cyrille Van Effenterre, the President of ParisTech, Mrs. Zhu Xiaoyu, Education Counselor of Chinese Embassy in France, representatives of French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development, the alumni of Tongji in France and Prof. Sund, Former President of Universitaet Konstanz, etc.

Prof. Dong introduced the Excellent Union of 9 Chinese university members initiated by Tongji, Tongji s Excellent Talent Program and discussed with his counterparts about the enhancement of cooperation, the future development of joint institutes like Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management (IFCIM), Sino-German College for Graduate Study (CDHK) and Sino-German College of Applied Sciences (CDHAW), and other important issues, such as the establishment of German Campus in Tongji and Chinese-French-German Triangle cooperation.
