On the morning of April 28th, 2010, Professor Radko Mesiar, the director of the Department of Mathematics of Slovak University of Technology, and his party arrived at Communication University of China to pay a week s visit. President Assistant Liu Liqun met with the visiting guests.
Professor Mesiar, who made this trip to CUC, was to implement the Fuzzy Integral Theory and Its Application of Multiple Criteria Decision Making, which was the project of the fourth regular meeting of China-Slovakia Science and Technology Cooperation Committee. CUC is the Chinese partner for the project. President Assistant Liu Liqun firstly welcomed Professor Mesiar and his party, she then expressed her appreciation of Professor Mesiar s active cooperation with CUC experts , during which the experts from the two universities have established a good academic relationship and sound friendship. She said that CUC would give full support to the cooperation of the project. During the meeting, President Assistant Liu introduced the basic situation and characteristics about CUC, and the International League of Higher Education in Media and Communication which was initiated by CUC. He hoped that CUC could carry out international cooperation and exchange with Slovak University of Technology in more areas.
Professor Li Jun and Professor Kang Tong, both from School of Science, and Zhang Yanqiu, deputy director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, also attended the meeting.
Professor Mesiar has great attainments in the areas of Probability and Statistics, Fuzzy logic, Information Fusion, Uncertainty Theory, etc. And he is an internationally well-known scholar in these areas. Professor Mesiar will have a week-long visit here at CUC. During this period, in Fuzzy Integral Theory and Fuzzy Cooperative Games and Applications or something, he will conduct research cooperation with Professor Li Jun of School of Science of CUC, who is the in-charge- of the project professor from the Chinese team.
On the afternoon of April 28th, Professor Mesiar gave an academic speech named From Riemann integral to universal integral to teachers and students of CUC, describing the dynamic frontier of the academic field of fuzzy integral.
