On March 5th, President Su Zhiwu met Associate Chair of Communication School Theng Yin Length and Professor Xu Xiaoge from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
President Su expressed his welcome to the delegation and looked back the exchange history of the two universities. He pointed out that an excellent cooperate relationship was maintained by the two schools universities with successful exchange of visits among teachers and higher level in both universities, especially in the aspect of students exchange. He said that he was very glad that Communication School of Nanyang Technological University of Singapore would join the Media Higher Education International Alliance initiated by Communication University of China. He hoped that two universities would develop a further understanding and long-acting collaboration) based on the alliance between the two universities.
Then President Assistance Liu Liqun discussed the collaboration between two schools in details with the delegation. He mentioned that the success of exchanging students in the undergraduate level between two universities), and cooperations with other universities in the graduate students level could be good examples for the further collaboration with Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in order to broaden the collaborate domains and increase the exchange students, as well as expand the exchange programs into faculties, research programs collaboration and information etc.
The Director of International Communication and Cooperation Office Zhang Lili, Associate Chair of Graduate School Tian Zhihui, Associate Chair of Television and Journalism School Chen Zuoping, Deputy Director of Deans Office Li Zhenhui, Head of European Media Research Center Liu Xu, Associate Professor of Foreign Language School Zhao Qinqiu attended the meeting as well.
Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, one of the three public universities in Singapore, is a research university. It has five schools, 22300 students. CUC has kept a good relationship with it in the majors of Arts, Design and Media School and Communication and Information School.
