For the purpose of greater publicity and recognition from Japanese distributors, Tasly Japan with the State Food and Drug Administration of China as the co-host, hosted a Kampo health professional training program at Tokyo College of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Oct. 11 to 12. All staffers with the firm and 30 top Japanese distributors attended the program.
A large number of distributors even travelled to Tokyo from faraway provinces to attend this program, which showed what attention the distributors paid to this event. The lectures were given by associate professors of TCM from the University of Tokyo with a training kit composed of two parts, TCM culture and healthcare knowledge, and elaborately compiled by the TCM Project Group of Tasly Pharma International, Tasly Japan and the lecturers in accordance with learning habits of the Japanese and Tasly Japan s marketing plan.
To deepen the trainees understanding of the TCM culture as soon as possible, the lecturers used the simplest words and illustrated points with pictures and cases so as to introduce TCM into daily lives of the Japanese in a vivid way. The trainees interacted with the lecturers with full enthusiasm and took notes carefully.
As the program was completed many of them expressed hope for more instruction and support from the lecturers and the firm in future training.
This program is a successful attempt of Tasly Japan at systematic distributor education and both the trainees and employees of the firm get deeper understanding of the TCM culture through it. The firm is going to hold more Kampo healthcare training sessions in November and December to intensify distributor education. According to the plan, any trainee who passes the final exam will be granted the certificate of Kampo Healthcare Professional by the Training Center of State Food and Drug Administration of China.
