Guangzhou Evergrande Team Overwhelming Anhui Jiufang Team at 4:0

On August 29, Guangzhou Evergrande Team took on Anhui Jiufang Team in a road game. After a 90-minute bout, Evergrande Team snatched a landslide victory of 4:0, with Bee-chey, Wu Pingfeng, Muriqui and Feng Junyan each scoring one goal.

At the 29^th minute of the game, Muriqui got the ball and passed it straight to the middle, where Bee-chey scored an easy goal via a push shot; seven minutes later, Wu Pingfeng picked up a pass in the middle from Muriqui and made a goal, expanding the score to 2:0.

In the second half, Evergrande Team did not let up its momentum of offensive and scored two more goals. At the 58^th minute, Muriqui capitalized on a mistake the opponent made in rear defense, stole the ball, advanced unchecked and sent the ball into the far corner through a push shot, changing the score to 3:0. At the 70^th minute, Evergrande Team seized hold of an opportunity of counter-attack, with Feng Junyan scoring one more goal, again through a push shot, to freeze the score at 4:0.

As early as May 1 when the two teams met for the first time in this season, the hosting Evergrande Team beat Anhui Jiufang Team at 1:0 thanks to the only goal scored by Feng Junyan.

At the post-game press conference, Head Coach Lee Jang-soo praised the performance of Muriqui, saying that he prefers to keep a low profile and has enormous space for enhancement. Lee also raised higher requirements for his team. Although the game ended up in a large score gap, the performance of the team is not impeccable. The teamwork between the lines leaves room for further improvement.
