The 2nd-Generation Resident Identity Cards for Army Personnel First Issued Successfully

On July 31 2008 the Leading Group for Issuing Army Resident Identity Cards the Department of Public Security of Beijing and Beijing Garrison of the PLA held the ceremony for the first issuance of identity cards for army personnel. On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the PLA over 460 officers and soldiers first received the 2nd-generation resident identity cards of the People s Republic of China. For the issuance of the resident identity cards for nationwide army personnel the Information Accepting System of Resident Identity Cards for Nationwide Soldiers and People s Armed Policemen in Active Service developed by Aerospace Gold Shield for more than one year is used. Attending the ceremony were the leaders of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Public Security Headquarters of the General Staff General Political Department PLA Beijing Military Area Command Air Force and Armed Police Force.
