Excellent Overseas Staff Invited to Name a New Vessel

In the morning of April 15, 2005, CSCL held the naming and delivery ceremony of the 4250TEU container vessel Xin Yang Shan at a wharf of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. Dressed in a brand new silk robe, the distinguished guest Ms. Zhao Yuemei seems particularly eye-catching. The general manager of Equipment Control Center of China Shipping North America was specially invited to name the new container vessel.
It is reported that China Shipping Group ordered to build a large amount of new vessels in recent years. In 2005, China Shipping Group will get 39 container vessels, oil tankers and bulk cargo vessels built and delivered to operation. As a traditional practice, the group used to invite governmental female officials or social well-known persons to name new vessels. However, heads of the group decided to invite their excellent female staff to do the job this time. The group viewed this as an import step to construct enterprise culture and to increase its cohesive force.
It was the first time that overseas staff was invited as a distinguished guest to name a new vessel. Ms. Zhang Yuemei expressed her thanks to the group for giving her such an honor. Ms. Zhang said she will make persistent efforts and contribute more to the container shipping career of China Shipping.
