Courtesy Visit to China Shipping Group by Minister of Communications of Malaysia

On April 10, there come visit by Minister of Communications of Malaysia lea by Chen Guangcai with principals of port, shipping and airborne industries to China Shipping Group, whereas, the delegation were welcomed by Mr. Li Kelin, China Shipping Group President cum Chairman of China Shipping Container Lines, Vice-President Lin Jianqing and other officers of China Shipping Group and China Shipping Container Lines. Minister Chen Guangcai and his delegation were invited by General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, they come to Shanghai after their official visit to Beijing.
President Li made an introduction over the development of China Shipping Group during their meeting talk and also recalled the mutual cooperation, particularly transshipping port construction of Port Kelang by China Shipping Container Lines Limited, and thus established relatively complete shipping artery and feeder networks centered around Port Kelang. China Shipping Container Lines owned a 500,000 TEU container throughput in Port Kelang last year and shall enjoy a promising huge increase in container throughput. President Li expressed his hopes of China Shipping Container Lines investment on container port construction in Port Kelang, and further develops their business operation with Malaysia.
Minister Chen Guangcai affirmed that the mutual trade revenues between China and Malaysia have exceeded 25 billion dollars in last year, which ranks first in Southeast Asia regions with substantial development potential. The objective of his visit to China with principals of port, shipping and airborne industries is to listen to suggestions and advice over Malaysian port and terminal service for better improvement. He forwarded his celebration over China Shipping Group s gigantic 10 billion dollars revenue in last year, which outnumbers yearly revenue of the biggest enterprise across Malaysia. Minister Chen welcomed China Shipping Group s investment in port industry and buy of office building in Kuala Lumpur.
The two sides also made exchanges over international economy situation and shipping industry situation in a friendly atmosphere.
