China Shipping and CMA CGM are pleased to announce the signing of a cooperation agreement for the launching of a new service between Asia and Europe. The launching of this new service will allow both companies to rationalize their other existing service on this market.
As from 22nd August 2006, 8 vessels of 9600-9400 teu capacity (4 from CSCL and 4 from CMA CGM) will be deployed on this new weekly service named AEX7 / FAL2. The first departure will be operated by CMA CGM Norma.
The rotation will be as follows: Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Port Kelang, Ningbo.
With this opening of AEX7, CSCL will strengthen her service from East China, South China and South East Asia to the North Europe, to offer a sixth weekly sailing from China to North Europe.
With this opening of the FAL2, CMA CGM will provide direct service on the South East Asia Market from Port Kelang, and will offer a second weekly departure from Shanghai, Ningbo and Shenzhen.
With the AEX7 / FAL2, China Shipping and CMA CGM will enhance and rationalize the network of their existing service: this being for CSCL the replacement of AEX2 and for CMA CGM the cancellation of Sundex service.
