China Shipping Container Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines Signs Service Cooperation Agreement

On Dec. 30 2006, there held a successful agreement signing ceremony between China Shipping Container Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines in the headquarters building of China Shipping Container Lines, President of China Shipping Group cum Chairman of China Shipping Container Lines Company Li Shaode were present at the signing ceremony, Director cum General Manager Huang Xiaowen of China Shipping Container Lines, Director cum Vice General Manager Zhao Hongzhou and others related from China Shipping Container Lines, General Manager Xu Qiumin of Sinotrans Container Lines Company, Vice General Manager Song Rong and nearly 30 others related attended the signing ceremony.
There start bilateral cooperation between China Shipping Container Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines in the principle of mutual benefits, mutual interaction and aggregation over years, and thus realize a win-win development mode and deep friendship and cooperation relation via extensive communication and cooperation. The two sides agree to launch slot exchange in Philippine since Jan. 13 2007, namely, China Shipping Container Lines provides 30TEU/WEEK slot for Sinotrans Container Lines in Shanghai-Ningbo-Manila service with 2 1700TEU container ships, while Sinotrans Container Lines offers 40TEU/WEEK slot for China Shipping Container Lines in Shantou-Xiamen-Manila service with 1 600TEU container ship.
The two sides deem it a good start for bilateral cooperation to give respective operation network advantage and realize win-win mode, strengthen mutual core competition, push the bilateral cooperation to a new leave and establish a new milestone. The two sides further expect to stimulate more extensive cooperation between China Shipping Container Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines in accordance with the principle Aggregation and Mutual Interaction initiated by President Li Shaode, and thus establish a model cooperation example for the brother Chinese shipping lines.
