Recently, FutureGov magazine and the Dalian Municipal Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the organization of the inaugural FutureGov Summit China, to be held on 1-3 September 2010. The agreement was signed by James Smith, Managing Editor of FutureGov, and Liu Weichun, Director of Dalian Municipal Government Administrative Service Centre.
Under the partnership agreement, FutureGov agazine, as organizer of FutureGov Summit series and forums, will bring the FutureGov Summit to China for the first time. The FutureGov Summit has been widely recognized by Asian Pacific countries.
The Dalian Municipal Government, as co-organizer of the Summit, will offer organizational support through administrative and logistical means. Dalian Municipal Government will also showcase its achievements and experience in building a "service-oriented" government during the Summit.
The FutureGov Summit series are the longest-running gathering of senior officials in Asia, and focus on the modernization of public sector governance, efficiency and service delivery. Up to now, FutureGov Summits have been held respectively in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
