Main Snow Sculpture for Vasaloppet Ski Festival to Unveil on December 24, 2010
As a spotlight of China Changchun 2011 Ice and Snow Tourism Festival, the Vasaloppet International Ski Festival is now under the smooth preparation. The long-awaited main snow sculpture Cross-country Ski, Passionate Vasaloppet, and the Vasaloppet Museum will be unveiled to the public on December 24, 2010.
Breakthroughs have been made in design for this year s main snow sculpture. It is mainly structured by snow walls of relief carving for which 12,000 cubic meters of snow are used. In addition, there are 56 small snow sculptures.
The Vasaloppet Museum is inside the Jingyue Lake Park, covering 1,500 square meters in land area, and 2,280 square meters in construction area. So far, the interior decoration has completed, and exhibition arrangement is progressing orderly.
