Sihui One day Trip
On Dec. 23rd a group of international teachers
and students from ZQU, invited by Sihui local government paid a
visit to Sihui City where they were warmly received by the local
government. In the morning, a brief introduction to the city was
given and luncheon with local government officers was arranged.
In the afternoon everybody was guided to the jade market and
also went to pick tangerines in a tangerine farm.
Sihui is a county level city under the jurisdiction of Zhaoqing.
The name Sihui, originated from its geological feature,
literally in Chinese it means four rivers merging into one and
has been so named for 2222 years ever since its foundation. The
jade process industry in Sihui crowns the world as No.1 and
tangerines planted in Sihui are reputed to be the No. 1
tangerine in China. A 2000 year old underground forest park
underneath Sihui region has been established in the recent
years.
