Prof. Evgeny Eshchin, President of Kuzbass State Technical University paid a visit to SDUST with a group of four from April 11th to 15th. SDUST President Wang Chunqiu, Vice-President Jin Feng Xiang met with the Russian guests. Also present at the meeting were senior staffs from the International Office, College of Civil Engineering and Architecture and College of Information Science and Engineering.
Wang Chunqiu extended his warm welcome to Eshchin and his party and praised the close ties between SDUST and KSTU in almost two decades??initiation of the cooperative agreement, completion of several joint research programs, faculty exchange, joint publication of monographs and *****s, joint annual academic symposium, etc.
Eshchin briefed the Chinese counterpart recent developments at KSTU and spoke highly of the cooperation between the two institutions. The two sides explored issues concerning higher education reform, bilateral student exchange, future research cooperation and so forth.
Vice-President Jin Fengxiang accompanied the guests on a visit of some SDUST laboratories, and Eshchin discussed issues about the 6th Sino-Russian symposium on urban and mine underground engineering with senior staffs from College of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
