The Fourth Session of the 10th Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPPCC |

On Jan 20, the Fourth Session of the 10th Guangdong Provincial Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in the auditorium of Guangdong Provincial Committee. 18 CPPCC members, including president of SCUT LI Yuanyuan, attended the session. Led by LI, the CPPCC members from SCUT thoroughly applied the Scientific Outlook on Development and offered suggestions as well as proposals on hot issues with respect to economy, culture and people's livelihood.
At the opening ceremony, the secretary-general of Guangdong Provincial Committee YANG Dong commended 37 outstanding proposals. Among them there were two proposals from SCUT, namely, Applying the Standardization Strategy and Enhancing Capacity for Independent Innovation in Guangdong by Prof. DENG Feiqi and Promoting the Rule of Law in Solutions to Public Cases by Prof. LI Ding'an.
Furthermore, a vice-president and 15 members of the standing committee were elected in the session. Prof. AN Ran from SCUT was one of the 15 members of the standing committee.
