Mr. Fang Yijin, Proprietor of Nanfang Daily Newspaper Group Gives Lecture

There are agonies and sweets every step of the way , Strategy determines system; system determines mechanism; mechanism in turns determines dynamics, and dynamics is what determines benefits . These were the remarks in the lecture Innovation: the Dynamics of the Development of Newspapering , which was given by Mr. Fan Yijin, Proprietor of Nanfang Daily Newspaper Group on Oct 10th. His lecture is one of a series of lectures given in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of College of Journalism & Communication.
The Nanfang Newspaper Group bases their development on three innovations : strategy innovation, system innovation and mechanism Innovation, which create an energetic and flourishing group , said Mr. Fan. He also defined the notion of newspapering industry innovation from three perspectives, and furtherly stated that innovation is the dynamics for the development of newspapering by integrating a case study on the development of the Nanfang Daily Newspaper Group.
Mr. Fan Yijin graduated from the School of Economics of Jinan University, and entered the Nanfang Daily in 1970. He currently holds several posts: the board chairman of the Nanfang Daily Newspaper Group, proprietor of the Nanfang Daily, etc. He was invited to be part-time professor of our university in 1999.
This year is the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the College of Journalism & Communications. It is said more renowned scholars and leaders of the circle will be invited to give lectures.
