Mr. Hu Jun et al Pays Visit to Mr. Bai Chunli

Mr. Hu Jun, president of our university, Mr. Liu Jiesheng, the vice president, Mr. Ma Hongwi et al paid a visit to Mr. Bai Chunli, the deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Science on April 3^rd.

Mr. Hu first gave a brief introduction on the nuclear power program in Guangdong Province and the first phase preparation of CSNS (Chinese Spallation Neutron Source) undertaken by our university. He also touched upon the Institute of Nuclear Science & Technology of our unversity and expressed the university s wish of getting support from the Academy of Science to it. Professor Zhang Chunlin gave an account of the research capability of our university in nuclear science etc.

Mr. Bai Chunli, upon hearing the report, said he was appreciative of the activeness of the university in the program of CSNS and was affirmative of the program the Prospect Study on the Application to ADS System in the development of Guangdong Province conducted by our university. He also gave a brief account of the strategic guideline of launching the CSNS program in Guangdong, and said the Chinese Academy of Science would absorb research personnel and provide assisitance to Jinan University and other research organizations and institutes.
