Vice Minister Ma Rupei visits JNU

At 7:00am on the morning of 12th, November, it was breezy and pleasant. Ma Rupei, the deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, accompanied by President Hu Jun and the Party Committee Secretary Jiang Shuzhuo, conducted an inspection to our university.
President Hu and Secretary Jiang introduced the distribution of the four campuses and overall planning of the campus in front of the programming model of our university in the auditorium. Mr. Ma asked in details about the formation and development of our campus, as well as the distribution of the living area and teaching district. As for the overcrowdedness of the main campus, Mr. Ma advised the university should seize every possible opportunity to look for more space for the university.
Mr. Ma was very happy when walking along the campus road, seeing the brand new grand Management School building, library and teaching building. He also visited the Jinan University History Hall. He looked around intriguingly and chimed in from time to time ask about the history of the university and its characteristics in university running. He said that JNU deserves to be called a century-old university, where there were a galaxy of famous scholars and faculties and that he would often visit JNU in the future.
On the afternoon of the very day, Mr. Ma Rupei met the Vice chairman of the board of JNU and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee Zhu Xiaodan. They had a thorough exchange of on the issue of land usage for constructing of another new campus of our university.
