From Ireland, Doctor Hugh Brady, President of University of Dublin (UOD), and Dr. Wang Liming, Dean of Confucius College at UOD, visited SCNU on April 12-13, 2010.
Prof. Liu Ming, President of SCNU, Prof. Guo Jie, Vice President of SCNU and related staff from Foreign Affairs Office and Nanhai College met the UOD guests and discussed the cooperation between two universities. Two sides were engaged to explore the possibilities of building a united international college by discussing about university management guideline, cooperation mode, program setting and etc.
The discussions finally led to a consensus on cooperation and a MOU were signed. Afterwards, Prof. Hu Shejun, Party Secretary of SCNU, also met the guests and expressed his positive wish to the success of the cooperation.
UOD is a world-famous university. We should capitalize on its excellent education resources and management to nurture innovative talent with global perspective.
