Dr. Hu Shejun, party secretary fo SCNU , attended the National Conference on Education in Beijing from July 13-14. Present at the conference were some China s top government leaders.Both Hu Jintao, Chairman for the People s Republic of China(PRC) , and Wen Jiabao, Prime Minister of PRC emphasized the importance of education for the development of the country and urged more efforts in this field.
Dr. Hu Shejun was the only representative for the universities in Guangdong Province to attend such an important conference. Dr. Hu said that as a key education university in Guangdong Province, SCNU should play a more active role and contribute more to the society.
