Recently , three professors from Japan and the United States visited the School of Chemistry & Environment at SCNU.
On May 21, Akira Imamura, an emeritus professor of Hiroshima University and the former president of Hiroshima Kokusai Gakuin University, gave a talk entitled Molecular Design of a p-conjugated single-chain electronically conductive polymer . Yuriko Aoki, a professor from Kyushu University and also the leader of JST-SCNU cooperative project, gave a lecture entitled Linear-scaling MO method -Elongation method- for Material Design .
Professor Bernard Kirtman, from the University of California at Santa Barbara, also made a report about the relationship between the elongation method and his own local space approximation from various aspects. The title of his talk is Local Space Approximation, and its relation to the elongation method
The visit of these three professors enhanced the international academic exchanges of SCNU , and furthermore, it will promote the development of the current JST-SCNU cooperative project.
