Families of Cheung Kong Scholars to Share Reading Experiences
Guangzhou, March 7, 2010 (Nanfang Daily): A unique award ceremony for the "scholar familiesand symposium on the reading experiencewas held in Swasy Hall yesterday afternoon on the South Campus of SYSU. Six families that had received the honor of "Guangdong scholar families" shared their reading experiences with the audience.
Professors of the SYSU s department of Live Sciences, both zhuang and zheng are PhDs and Cheung Kong scholars. And With their two daughters, they are a family of four doubles, quipped the host.
When asked the secrets to a successful family, Prof Zhuang said their motto is Genuine knowledge comes from hard working and genius comes from endeavoring .
Influenced by their parents, the two girls also excel at school. When asked which aspects of their parents had impressed them most, both girls remarked unanimously, no pain, no gain . Only by becoming independent can they lead a happy life.
