Foreign Teachers Wanted

You are welcome to join the Faculty of English Education of Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, China) which is looking for EFL teachers who are ready to offer intermediate and advanced courses in speaking, writing, western culture, English literature and other social sciences to undergraduate/postgraduate students of non-English majors.

Description of Position

Starting Date: September, 2010, one-year contract (renewal is available)

Monthly Salary: About RMB 8,000

Benefits: RMB1,000 as house allowance; campus apartment available at candidate s expense

Weekly classroom hours: 16-18 plus 2-4 office hours (Mon. to Fri.).

Location: Zhuhai campus (in Zhuhai City) and Guangzhou(University Town) campus

Requirements:

1. Ability to speak good English without strong accent. Native speakers from UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand have priority;

2. Master degree or above in linguistics, literature, education and other social sciences. Applicants with a TESOL certificate or English teaching experiences in English-speaking countries have priority;

3. Devotion to teaching, patience with students, enthusiasm about teaching and a strong sense of responsibility,

4. Age: 25-63 with good health
