In this golden autumn, some festive events and magnificent achievements are keeping coming up. On the morning of Sep. 20th, the inaugural meeting of Engineering Research Center of Warp Knitting Technology, Ministry of Education was held at the library of JU. Academician Su Jinliang and Yao Mu from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Tiankai, Vice President of China National Textile and Apparel Council, Prof. Chen Jian, President of JU, and other experts, who specialize in warp knitting, from Donghua University and Tianjin Industrial University attended this event. Also present at the meeting were representatives from over 100 enterprises involving warp knitting machinery, materials and products manufacturing, warp knitting machinery and fittings sales.
Engineering Research Center of Warp Knitting Technology, Ministry of Education originated from JU-Karl Mayer Wart Knitting Research Center founded on May 26th 2001. During the past nine years, through its dedication to software development, control codesign, technical training, information exchange and cooperation between universities and enterprises, this research center has won nationwide reputation in wart knitting circle. It has cooperated with many domestic companies in hopes of promoting productivity and research. JU-Runyuan Modern Wart Knitting Equipments Research center founded by Jiangnan University and Changzhou Runyuan Wart knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., and JU-Xinxin Wart Knitting Velvet Products Research Center established by JU and Changshu Xinxin Wart Knitting Co., Ltd., to name just a few, are the outcomes of our cooperation with enterprises.
The foundation of Engineering Research Center of Warp Knitting Technology, Ministry of Education is a grand event to Chinese wart knitting industry. It is bound to upgrade the manufacturing technologies of wart knitting industry, transform its pattern of growth, and promote its rapid and sound development.
