Chinese Toolbox Won A Gold Award in Hong Kong International Software Grand Prix

Associate Prof. Yao Hongbin, from School of Humanities, returned with honor on March 14th from Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, where the Award Ceremony of the First Hong Kong International Software Grand Prix was held. The Chinese Toolbox software package, in the charge of Yao, won the Gold Award.

Run in Windows operation system, the Chinese Toolbox mainly includes Chinese character educational software like how to write Chinese characters , learn Pinyin , serial software of Chinese character input method in writing style , serial software of standard Chinese character input method in Pinyin and etc. The present software is adequate for basic teaching in elementary schools, special education, bilingual teaching of Han and minority, TCSL, to name but a few.
The Chinese Toolbox is expected to gain popularization and application in the service of teaching, reading and writing Chinese and further exploited to work on other relative devices in contribution to development of domestic software.
