TUT Hosted the 2nd National Seminar for Nanostructure Devices

On September 27, sponsored by Chinese Society of Nano Science and Technology, co-hosted by TUT, NationalCenter for Nano Science and Technology, and Semiconductors Institute of the ChineseAcademy of Sciences, the 2nd National Seminar for Nanostructure Devices was announced to open in Jinci, Taiyuan. TUT Party Secretary Yao Zhilou, TUT President Zhang Wendong, Vice-President Xv Bingshe attended the meeting on invitation. Present at the meeting were experts and scholars from Shanghai Microsystem Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chemical Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Semiconductors Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, University of Leicester (the UK), Nanjing University, Tsinghua University, North University of China, and experts, scholars and heads of the colleges of TUT including School of Material Science and Engineering, and CollegeofInformationEngineering. Director Yang Fuhua from Semiconductors Institute of the ChineseAcademy of Sciences presided over the opening ceremony.

Secretary Yao Zhilou on behalf of TUT gave a speech at the ceremony. Fan Shoushan, chairman of the meeting and academician of TsinghuaUniversity, and Professor Zhu Xing from NationalCenter for Nano Science and Technology, addressed the meeting, respectively.

Some other teachers and students from TUT (mainly from School of Material Science and Engineering, and CollegeofInformationEngineering) and North University of China also attended the seminar.
