Fashion event fans are slowly getting ready for the new season. After New York, London, Paris, and Milan, the center of fashion follies, creativity, and positive energy will be Belgrade, from April 23-29, as preparations for the 25th edition of the Belgrade Fashion Week are well under way.
However, the characteristic of the jubilee, 25th edition of Fashion Week is the fact that some of the collections of domestic designers have already been featured at one of the greatest fairs for young talents – the Rendez-Vous in Paris during the Paris Fashion Week from March 6-9. This confirms the fact that domestic fashion, with the Fashion Week as the platform for promoting domestic designer creativity, is the ideal form of branding Serbia worldwide. Along with numerous talented designers featured at the mentioned fair, with the support of SIEPA (Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency) and Click Fashion Studio, also featured were: Ms. Nataša Šaric, designer duet JSP - Jelena and Svetlana Prokovic, Ms. Tamara Radivojevic, Mr. Aleksandar Protic, Ms. Slavna Martinovic, as well as designers of exclusive accessories – Ms. Evica Milovanov Penezic and the creator of the DA LENA brand, Ms. Sandra Jankovic.
The Belgrade Fashion Week will be held under the patronage of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade at the most attractive venues of the City, with main events taking place at the EXPO XXI. The Click Fashion Studio, as the organizer of this prestigious event, will attempt to maintain the high level of quality, with an interesting program and a new concept.
Apart from the most important domestic designer names such as: Ms. Irena Grahovac,Mr. Bata Spasojevic, Ms. Ana Ljubinkovic, Ms Tamara Radivojevic, Ms. Tijana Pavlov, Ms. Dejana Momcilovic, Mr. Dejan Despotovic, also featured will be Ms. Ana Šekularac, who has a successful international career, whose debut in Serbia we have already seen on the 24th Fashion Week.
Maintaining its mission of discovering young talents and making them known, the Belgrade Fashion Week will once again dedicate a significant portion of the program to the promising young design stars, and the students of the Belgrade and Paris Design Academy - Mod’Art will have a joint fashion show, and another show will also be given by the Belgrade Workshop – a venue where collections of numerous young designers will be exhibited.
Apart from making the young talents known, one of the missions of the Belgrade Fashion Week is also for fashion to gain the kind of status it already enjoys worldwide – that of a serious business. This time, fashion brands known worldwide that are available on our market, will be presented to the audience, such as Adidas which will demonstrate its fashion side and the latest fashion trends for Fall/Winter 2009, followed by the Portuguese brand Salsa Jeans, Hugo Boss, Marella, Gaastra,XYZ fashion center,N Sport, Omero, Glamour…As far as the domestic fashion companies go, collections will be presented by Nicola’s,Tiffany(TFY),Martini Vesto and Allegra.
