India : Gokaldas Exports Q1 net income up 18%

Gokaldas Exports Ltd, among the top apparel exporters in the country, has shown an increase of 18% in its net income for the first Quarter ended 30th June, 2007.
The company’s income from operations stands at Rs. 261.89 crores. The company’s profit after tax (PAT) for the first quarter is Rs.10.52 crores. The EPS is Rs. 3.06.
On reviewing the results, Mr. Rajendra J. Hinduja, Executive Director, Finance, Gokaldas Exports Limited, said, “We are very optimistic about the company’s performance in the remaining three quarters of this fiscal.”
In the quarter, the company has received two prestigious awards from the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC). The awards received were for the ‘Highest Exporter’ on a global basis, and ‘Highest Employer’ on an all India basis. Mr. Hinduja was felicitated by the Hon. Union Minister of Textiles.
