Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran President, on Tuesday inaugurated the Sabalan Textile Factory in Ardebil, the largest in the nation. While giving a speech, he emphasized on the need to create a large number of employment opportunities in the country.
The facility, which took three years to complete, covers an area of 200,000 square meters. This garment factory is expected to create around 5000 direct jobs, thereby uplifting the economy of the country.
The plant includes the whole process of manufacturing under one roof, from producing fibre as raw material to various types of garments. It has installed state-of-the-art machineries and technologies and is expected to export 70 percent of its products to other countries.
Ahmadinejad said that this unit would prove to be a stepping stone in producing high quality textile fabrics that would help the country to mark a prominent status in international markets.
