Nazmi Textile Mall, Brunei’s biggest textile shopping centre, is planning to hold sale on September 7-8 for the Ramadhan season, which is only three weeks away.
Awang Nazeer Ahmad Zakaria, Managing Proprietor, said that this will be chief promotion strategy for the festive season.
He also explained that Brunei has been attracting a lot of attention from textile consumers due to its cheap rates.
Survey shows that buyers from countries like Malaysia and Singapore prefer Brunei as it offers wide variety and fine quality at cheap rates.
Ahmad Zakaria further urged the tourism industry to recognize this boom and support textile industry by offering better and bigger packages for foreigners.
He informed that business had leaped 60 percent since last month. However, now with Hari Raya approaching the sales of textile will slow down and demand for traditional Malay and outfits 'sinjang and songkok' will rise.
