Egypt : Country wants to improve trade ties with B'desh

Ismail Abd-El Rahman Ghoneim, Egyptian Ambassador to Dhaka, said at a farewell meeting at Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed's office, that the country needs to reactivate economic cooperation with Egypt.
Ghoneim said that investment in the fields of agriculture and jute would prove beneficial for both the countries.
Bangladeshi workers are in high demand in the readymade garment sector of Egypt and various companies are hiring them in huge numbers.
The Chief Advisor agreed that big companies from Egypt are coming to Bangladesh. He said that there was scope for further investment in the textile sector; Government is also offering various incentives to foreign investors.
Fakhruddin suggested that Bangladesh could export various textile products like jute, jute products, ceramics, leather and leather products which are the country's specialities.
